Blair over the last 3 weeks has learned what it is like to have a 10 year old girl in the house, so he had his fingers crossed that at todays ultrasound that we would discover we were actually having a boy, however Avila is still an Avila and not an Owen. So those of you who have girls remember to tell Blair all the good (not scary) things about having daughters!
They moved the due date up as well. It looks like we might get that tax return after all. The new date is New Year's eve. What a fun birthday to have, right? Either that or she just has a fat head and long legs, which screwed up the calculations. We will just have to wait and see the perfect date the Lord has planed for her birth. Right now she is 4 lbs. and 11oz. give or take. The Dr. thinks she will be an 8 pounder when she is born. So much for the 6 pounder I was hoping for. What's an extra couple of pounds, right - it's going to hurt no matter what. I have to admit when she said 8 pounds the words epidural ran through my mind and a smile crossed my face.
Pictures will be up soon, the scanner at home doesn't seem to be working so everyone will have to wait until tomorrow to see how cute she is.
Picture or no picture rest assured she has all her body parts, all her bones and limbs are where they should be, she has cute little lips and toes and everything else she should have as a newborn. I just can't wait to meet her and see her little face. Only a month and a 1/2 to wait - crazy huh!

I was nervous to have a girl too, but they are so fun. God will give you wisdom, He has promised. Plus you have Lesli Sheehy practically next door and if she doesn't know a thing or two about raising godly girls, I don't know who does. Can't wait to see you Avila!--Amy Smith
Hi!it's me, Angie! Girls are such a blessing and they're so much fun. It doesn't get weird till they're teenagers. :-) Can't wait to see you guys and meet that beautiful baby girl. Hopefully we'll see you on Thanksgiving! We miss you both. Tell Blaire that Logan misses him lots. :-)
